My article write-up in The Statesman Newspaper - 22 January-2018 (The Statesman was founded in 1875) “Youth is the pollen that blows through the sky and does not ask why”. This line by Vincent Benet holds true in letter and spirit for the Indian demographics. India has more than half of its population below the age of 25 and more than 65% below the age of 35. The average age of an Indian is below 29 years. But this young and vibrant democracy is undergoing a peculiar problem which might take shape of a monster in the future. छात्रों में बढती गुस्से की प्रवर्ती छात्रों में बढती गुस्से की प्रवर्ती हमारे समाज के लिए खतरे की घंटी साबित हो रही है | पिछले तीन महीनों में हुई चार वारदातों ने शिक्षा जगत को झकझोर कर रख दिया है | पहले गुरुग्राम के रयान स्कूल की घटना, फिर नॉएडा के एक किशोर द्वारा अपनी माता व बहन का क़त्ल फिर लखनऊ के स्कूल में एक बालिका द्वारा घटना को अंजाम देना ओर अब ये यमुनानगर के स्कूल में प्रधानाचार्या की गोली मार कर हत्या | ये चारों घटनाये महज इत्तफ़ाक, या एकल घटनाएँ नहीं हैं वरन समाज में मूक रूप से चल रहे मंथन का परिणाम हैं | हम सब इसे पहचानने में जो देरी कर रहे हैं वह एक दिन हमें भारी पड़ेगा | शिक्षा जगत में तेजी से सुधार की आवश्यकता है | हमने अपने बच्चों को कुछ ज्यादा ही तनावग्रसित किया हुआ है | स्कूली शिक्षा के प्रारंभ से ही अभिवावक एवं अध्यापक छात्र को इनता तनाव में ले आते हैं की बारहवीं तक आते आते उसके मूल स्वाभाव में विकृति आ जाती है |  हाल ही में हुई  असामान्य घटनाएँ इसी विकराल रूप लेते राक्षस की ओर इशारा कर रही हैं | आज के परिपेक्ष में यह इतना आम हो चुका है की छोटे से...

कक्षा दसवीं की परीक्षा का नया स्वरुप शिक्षा सत्र ज्यों-ज्यों समाप्ति की ओर अग्रसर हो रहा है, वहीँ छात्रों की रातों की नींद भी छिनती जा रही है | यह दो महीने अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण हैं | जो छात्र इन आखरी दिनों का सदुपयोग कर लेगा वो अंकों की दौड़ में बहुत आगे निकाल जायेगा | एक सामान्य छात्र व एक टॉपर के अंकों का अंतर इन आखिरी के दिनों में की गई मेहनत ही निर्धारित करती है |  जिन विद्यार्थियों का पूरे साल औसत प्रदर्शन भी रहा है वे भी इन दिनों की मेहनत के बल पर मेरिटसूचि में अपना नाम दर्ज करवा सकते है | सी.बी.एस.ई. ने इस वर्ष से कक्षा दसवीं के परीक्षा स्वरुप में बड़े बदलाव किये हैं | जहाँ पिछले वर्ष तक छात्रों के पास स्कूल में ही परीक्षा (होम बोर्ड) देने का विकल्प था वहीँ इस वर्ष इसे ख़त्म किया गया है | अब सभी विद्यार्थी एक ही परीक्षा का हिस्सा होंगे | सबसे बड़ा बदलाव हुआ है सेमेस्टर सिस्टम का ना रहना, इसी बदलाव ने छात्रों की नींद उड़ा रखी है | पिछले वर्ष तक दसवीं कक्षा की मूल्यांकन पद्दति में जहाँ 40 प्रतिशत तक अंक स्कूल के पास होते थे तथा स्कूल में ही परीक्षा देने का विकल्प खुला ह...

कक्षा बारहवीं में अंग्रेजी विषय की एहम भूमिका  कक्षा बारहवीं की बोर्ड परीक्षा जल्द ही शुरू होने जा रही है । पूरे देश में लगभग 10 लाख से ज्यादा विद्यार्थी इन परीक्षाओं में अपना जौहर दिखाएंगे । कक्षा बारहवीं का परिणाम सही मायने में विद्यार्थी का भविष्य निर्धारित करता है । दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय जैसे प्रतिष्ठित विश्वविद्यालय कक्षा बारहवीं के परिणाम के आधार पर ही स्नातक विषयों में दाखिला देते हैं । इनमें एक एक अंक पर कट-ऑफ निर्धारित होता है एवं तीव्र स्पर्धा छात्रों को रातों में सोने नहीं देती ।  ये दो महीने छात्रों के लिए करो या मरो वाली स्थिति है। जो बच्चे इन दिनों का सदुपयोग कर लेंगे वे बेहतर रिजल्ट प्राप्त करेंगे। ज्यादातर छात्र कुधारणा का शिकार हो जाते हैं, एवं या तो वे निराश हो जाते हैं या फिर सिर्फ पी.,सी.,एम., बायोलॉजी, एकाउंट्स, व  इकोनॉमिक्स पर ही अपना सारा ध्यान केंद्रित करते हैं। छात्र सबसे अधिक इंग्लिश विषय को नज़रंदाज़ करते हैं । सभी को लगता है कि इंग्लिश तो आसान है आखिरी समय में देख लेंगे । इसी कारण उनकी पर्सेन्टेज कम रह जाती है।...
